Past Events: The Fall Festival of Books, sponsored by The Children's Literature Connection and the Hudson Valley Community College Department of English, Saturday October 20, 2007 at Hudson Valley Community College was an overwhelming success, with hundreds of teachers, librarians, parents and their children enjoying meeting authors and illustrators and perusing their books.

The Fall Festival of Books was Children's Literature Connection's 4th greeting/selling/ autographing celebration. School and public librarians, educators and the general public were invited to meet authors and illustrators, buy their books and chat a bit as books were autographed. Teachers spoke with authors about school visits, and heard about exciting upcoming projects.

Past Events: The turnout for the book signing by Rebecca Blume and other children's book authors in Hobart, New York,
"The Book Village of the Catskills", the weekend of June 9th was truly overwhelming. The sidewalks literally overflowed
with book lovers from as far away as Rochester and New York City, as more and more people discover this precious little gem of Bibliophilia.
Sales were brisk; the shoppers were gracious and well-read in all areas of fact and fiction. I am informed that the impetus behind the author
signing events is being expanded to include other publishing themes. This September the theme will be Cook Books. What a great idea.
Best wishes to all the wonderful bookstore owners in Hobart, soon to become to booklovers what Florence, Italy was to art lovers of the renaissance!

Liberty Artist is proud to announce that "alive", a collection of poetry by a gifted young writer, Tyler Wilhelm is now available.
